This blog came about as a result of my travels around Italy over the last couple of years. I’m mostly in Lucca (Tuscany) these days but work tends to take me around the country quite a lot and I’ve been steadily building a scrapbook of my peregrinations and pictures … I do see an awful lot of museums, galleries and the insides of hotels, there are worse jobs. Within you’ll find my jottings about the things I’ve seen (inevitably a subjective take, but hey, if it adds to anyone’s knowledge or enjoyment of the Duomo in Florence, Giotto, AC Milan, or the motorway system around Bologna, then I’m happy. I do recommend the odd place to stay here, courtesy of my friends and sometimes employers at ahotelinitaly.com, but please take these as merely suggestions … don’t blame me if they don’t make your cappucino just the way you like it.
